Users no longer need to go to the web app to initiate a conversation with AI. Just enter the command “@gemini” in the address bar and ask a question; the system will load a communication session with Gemini directly into the browser.

This feature works when you’re signed in with a Google account and gives you instant access to the assistant without having to go to a separate page in the web app.

But as it turned out during testing, regardless of user access to the more advanced Gemini Advanced model, all requests made through quick access are processed by the standard version of Gemini.

This can be useful for solving simple problems where the more complex Gemini Advanced model may overload the answers with unnecessary information. To access advanced features, users will still need to navigate to the site manually.
