Russian Post will test artificial intelligence technologies to model logistics routes. The operator signed an agreement for the implementation of an intelligent modeling system with the Skolkovo Foundation, the press service of the Russian Post reported.

The forecast for receiving postal items at each delivery stage will be calculated based on historical data using artificial intelligence technologies. After analysis, the system will offer optimal delivery routes.

Calculations show that the result of the system can reduce delivery times by eliminating transport centers or reducing their number, notes Russian Post.

The system will be tested until 2026.
