Filming of Danny Boyle’s upcoming zombie movie 28 Years Later wrapped in August of this year and is expected to hit the big screen next year.

WIRED reports that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were used to shoot the films. The smartphones have special adapters that allow shooting with professional full-frame lenses.

The decision was made because the original film was partially shot on a Canon XL-1, one of the first digital video cameras.

It will be interesting to see what the film will ultimately turn out to be with a budget of $75 million. It is noted that some scenes were also filmed on action cameras attached to animals. [WIRED]
