Tius said the Russian developer of cybersecurity products “will begin to cease operations of its office in the United Kingdom and refocus its business in the country on its partner channel.” This will allow Kaspersky Lab to remain in the British market by exploiting “existing business opportunities”.
At the same time, the vendor’s local employees, of whom there are “less than 50” in its UK office, will also be made redundant.
This comes after Kaspersky Lab was banned from operating in the United States. Moreover, American users were faced with the sudden automatic replacement of Kaspersky products with solutions from the US developer UltraAV.
“This move will enable our company to better exploit existing business opportunities in the UK market and increase overall business prosperity. Our customers and partners in the UK will have full access to the company’s European team and its strong and well-established partner network, through which Kaspersky’s “We will continue to distribute ‘s industry-leading cyber security products and services,” he said.
