“We hope that the agreement with Kleek will help us achieve one of the leading positions in the market. Especially in those segments where QR code bill payment solutions have already become popular: restaurants and beauty,” said Tochka CEO Andrey Zavadskikh.
According to him, in the future the credit institution plans to expand the service to adapt the product to other niches, including medical institutions and fitness centers. The parties did not disclose the amount of the transaction. A Forbes banking source estimated it at 350 million rubles.
Tochka clarified that Kleek allows you to pay the bill, leave a tip, and leave a review in a single interaction. The fee for services is 0.25%, while for other services it is 0.3%, the bank said.
30% of Kleek shares remained in the hands of the creator of the service, Emil Azizov. He founded the company in 2021 after noticing the difficulty of paying restaurant bills using QR codes. According to Rusprofile, in 2023 the revenue of Resto Pay LLC (legal entity Kleek) amounted to 5.9 million rubles, which is a more than eight-fold increase compared to 2022. The company’s net loss at the end of the year last amounted to 211 thousand rubles.
In November 2024, Tochka bought the cloud cash register service Digitalkassa and, in October, the 24AI platform, which allows generating images for markets using artificial intelligence.
