Leyden emphasized that this is a “point”, a time when “the hardware innovation curve reaches a halt or peaks.” In general, there is no fundamental difference between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; gamers often mention this in the comments: “People don’t understand what teraflops and ray tracing are.” And new technologies do not give new consoles serious advantages over the previous generation.
Leiden said that new console developers should focus on the quality of the content, not the hardware.
