The Ministry of Digital Development, together with the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is preparing a package of bills aimed at limiting the use of SIM boxes and virtual automatic telephone processes (VATS).
These devices are used to create call centers and allow you to disable calls to additional numbers among employees.
Currently, their use is largely unregulated, making them popular among telephone scammers. For example, using SIM boxes, attackers can charge up to 30 million calls per day.
It is not specified when the bills will be ready. It is currently under consideration; the Ministry of Internal Affairs recently made its own amendments to it. [Ведомости]
