In the future, Meta plans to introduce new features to its products, for example, Meta AI stickers and the Imagine Me image generator, and the Account Center will help users get unique access to them from all platforms of the corporation, informs the report. grades.
The company assured that adding WhatsApp to the Account Center will not affect the confidentiality of users’ personal data, and their personal messages and calls will always be protected with end-to-end encryption.
“When the option is available, you’ll see it in WhatsApp settings or it will appear when you try to perform cross-service actions, such as sharing a status in one of our other apps,” Meta says.
Previously, in September 2024, the European Union’s main data protection regulator fined Meta €91 million for storing user passwords unencrypted. According to Meta, the company quickly took steps to eliminate the bug as soon as it was identified. During the investigation it was established that third parties did not have access to user data.
