Bloomberg reports that “the AI group this year will focus on updating Siri’s core infrastructure and improving the company’s own models of the company’s AI.”
To do this, Apple’s AI and machine learning division was handed over to Kim Worrat, who helped release Vision Pro and worked at Apple for 36 years. She will become artificial intelligence unit chief John Jannandrea’s “first deputy.”
Last year, the company widely announced its development developments (for example, Apple Intelligence on WWDC – Worldwide Developers Conference). But they didn’t have the same influence as OpenAi’s chatgpt or Google’s Gemini once did. Apple, however, does not give up and depends on Siri.
For example, the corporation announced a big update to Siri, which will allow you to understand what is happening on your screen and take action based on what you saw. It is expected that such an extension may appear in iOS 18.4.
By attracting one of Kim Vorrat’s most successful veterans to work in AI, with Apple-Pastice’s track record in the original iPhone software group for the iPhone, the corporation is actually proclaiming AIA’s priority as the most significant in 2025. Perhaps Apple sees AI as a more important technology for its future than Vision Pro.
