“Yandex.Maps” updated the software library with which companies can embed interactive maps into websites and web applications, the company’s press service said. JavaScript API 3.0 uses vector maps instead of raster maps, allowing them to be tailored to your desired layout.

“Yandex.Maps” added the ability to change the layout to the new version of the API

When used, it will be possible to change the colors and sizes of objects. It was also possible to hide unnecessary elements, which will allow you to correctly place accents. Yandex.Weather, for example, removes the marking of natural areas. When separated, the map turns white, making it possible to make areas where it rains more visible.

The download speed has also increased compared to the previous version. The JavaScript 3.0 API was developed using the TypeScript programming language. This is an extended version of JavaScript, which is used to create most modern web sites and applications.

Alexander Tarmolov, head of the Yandex.Maps web application development department, notes that the company will help companies make all the necessary settings if they want to switch to the new version.

Previously, Yandex.Maps updated the organization search algorithm by adding machine learning and neural network technologies to it.
