The Ministry of Digital Development proposed to transfer the 1.3 billion rubles hung from Rosinfokominvest to the creation of the Russian analogue of GitHub. The money without movement has been in the fund’s accounts since 2007.
The recipient of the funds from the fund will be the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT). At the same time, RFRIT will be an intermediate link and in the future will transfer 1.3 billion rubles to ANO Open Code, Vedomosti writes, citing sources.
ANO Open Source was created in the spring of 2022. Its founders are VK, Rostelecom, Innopolis University, the T1 group and other structures. The company is developing terms of reference to create a repository, said one of the interlocutors of the publication.
The experiment to create a repository should start at the beginning of November 2023 and last until September 2024.
