The xG27 chipset consists of the Bluetooth oriented BG27 and the MG27 supporting Zigbee and other protocols. The SoC xG27 area ranges from 2mm square to 5mm square.
The BG27 is currently being used to develop the aforementioned wearable dental sensor, which is a real product. The transducer is small enough to be attached to a molar for continuous monitoring of the patient’s saliva. This will enable dentists to detect health problems in a timely manner.
