Authorized expert Ming-Chi Kuo said the USB-C port will enable faster charging of the iPhone 15. But only when using certified cables.

According to the analyst, the charging speed will depend on the adapter and the cable, and for full performance users will need a cable that Apple has given the green light.

Pro models will support USB 3.2 for faster data transfer speeds, while regular iPhone 15 models will continue to use the slower USB 2.0.

Experts believe the launch of the iPhone 15 will lead to a 120% increase in the supply of Apple’s proprietary 20-watt USB-C power adapter. The fact is that many users who still use old chargers will have to buy new ones with a USB-C port.
