The spending of Russians on smartphones, less than in the quarter, increased by 10%. This was told to Izvestia by employees of one of the retailers and confirmed by MTS.

The average check for smartphones in early March compared to the end of December 2022 increased from 21.5 to 23.5 thousand rubles (9%), MTS growth. At the same time, Citylink said that this figure had reached 35%.

In January and the first half of February, buyers chose budget devices, and before February 23 and March 8, more expensive gadgets.

Last year, Russians estimated 20% less money for smartphones than in 2021. The focus then shifted to corporate governance, primarily Apple and Samsung. Cheaper Chinese manufacturers have taken over.
