Moscow launched the production of domestic electric trucks EVM PRO. The new company in Technopolis Moscow will be able to produce up to 1,000 vehicles per year. Most of the truck’s components are made in Russia.
The launch of the production of electric trucks EVM PRO is mentioned in the telegram channel of the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.
The machines will be produced at a new facility in Moscow’s Technopolis Special Economic Zone. EVM PRO is assembled on the basis of the UAZ chassis, most of the components are made in Russia, including on-board electronics and electric motors. The volume of investments at the launch of the project was estimated at 393 million rubles.
In addition, a new company for the production of lasers and equipment for them was launched. The capacity of the plant will be up to 1,000 lasers and more than 400 laser equipment per year. One of the main customers of the products of this company is the Ministry of Health of Russia.
“About 40% of products are bought by consumers from Moscow, the rest go to 40 regions of Russia and 7 countries of the world,” said Sergei Sobyanin.
The first Russian electric truck EVM PRO was presented in February 2022. Its manufacturer is the Rus Electric Vehicle Manufacturing company.
