A couple of days ago my friend Inji (@incikoo) with the return of the Cannes Film Festival, the first in her life.

When we met, she filled up with impressions and photographs. the very festival. Direct premiere. Right with Johnny Depp at the next hotel.

To be honest, for me it was an experience that until that moment I had not tried on myself. Besides, the story was supplemented by the magical places of eastern France with incredible fairy-tale houses, narrow rivers and green pathswhich I had previously seen only in cartoons based on fairy tales.

Not everyone can become a spectator of the premiere in Cannes

One of the conditions under which film competitions are held is that the first show takes place in Cannes.

hype: people come to premieres to see films for the first time, which are discussed all next year, wait for their launch in ordinary cinemas and procrastinate every detail in interviews with directors and actors.

There is a minimum three good to get to the festival: under the program “Three days in Cannes” for people from 18 to 28 years old, through the passage of accreditations and by invitation.

She, along with her company, came to the very opening to see the ceremony and get into the three-hour film “On the Grass of Detainees” about setting up teachers for their students with the realization of breaking the fourth wall in the Tarantino style.

The film advises. She says it was the first festival movie she watched with interest.

Legendary red road short

Shows take place on Palace of Public Purposes and Congresses. There are many conference rooms inside it, the largest middle of them is Hall Lumiere, which includes up to 2300 observations. There hold premieres of films that are contenders for the “branch”.

The red carpet is a short but wide path from the Boulevard de la Croisette, on which the palace stands, to the luxurious steps, on which long dresses look chic.

Before you get to see it, directors, actors and other stars involved in the filming first make the carpet walk.

Inji and her friends arrived on the fourth day, May 19on the day of the premiere of the film to which they were invited.

The entrance system was simple: along the Boulevard de la Croisette there is a mini-red carpet where people line up. It is small, after the opening ceremony it waited only five minutes to go to the already main area with photos and steps. This zone is the largest, photos that instantly scatter on the net.

Yes, invited or simply accredited viewers follow the same red road as actors, screenwriters and directors. This is exactly what creates a sense of belonging to the festival atmosphere. Inji says, except through personal experience, this feeling does not describe.

She said that while walking along the carpet road, you feel like an artist of one star level.

People with invitations are allowed in first, followed by those who are accredited by their commercial company, film school or media. Moreover, depending on their status, journalists enter both among the first and among the last.

There are no treats and champagne, although the event does not apply. This is a public event for tens of thousands of people where people go to show a movie, evaluate a movie, or gather about a movie.

Because of such a pompous procedure, sessions in the Lumière Hall take place, as I have detailed, only three times a day.

And for the same reason, the whole festival stretches over two weeks. In order to accommodate about a hundred, their accumulation in cinemas.

But right in front of you will be directors, screenwriters, actors and other important team members who are involved in making a movie.

A resort for stars and star hunters

In Cannes, Inji was murdered in her friend’s apartment. Her house is on the first line with a magnificent view of the beach, palm trees and neighboring islands, one of which they later went to have lunch.

Also within walking distance is the Grand Hyatt Cannes, where the biggest names usually stay. This time there were at least Johnny Depp with my girlfriend and Julia Roberts with a family.

This hotel is visited almost all the time, surrounded by fans and paparazzi to take out the stars traveling abroad.

But most of the impressions about the cuisine of the Court were accumulated in the first days of the trip.

The festival was the last stop before returning home, and it all began with a lot of travel around the eastern part of the country.

After arriving in Paris, Inji spent the first six days in the city Nancywhere her cousin and her family run new hotels.

An interesting story happened there. She decided to cook dinner, which, of course, needed drinking water. First of all, she went to a large tank with small taps, next to the objects were glasses.

From there came not water, but wine. Inji took a closer look and realized that in front of her was a giant 5 liter cardboard box with alcohollike she had never seen in her life. And next to her is the second. And all this in order to just pour yourself a drink when you want to drink.

In Paris, Nancy and Dijon, there were classic historical monuments of a European city: towers, monuments, castles, chapels, sculptural fountains and, of course, arches.

Strasbourg neat, but the atmosphere there for some reason is not the most relaxed. Perhaps the fact is that this is one of the border cities with Germany, and the influence of German culture with its more strict mentality manifested itself.
