Apple just announced this Tuesday (18) 6th generation iPad Pro. Bringing the M2 chip, the company’s professional tablet promises even more performance at a suggested price of R$9,800. The announcement was made as well as the model. 10th generation iPad with a new look, four different colors and the starting price is R$5.3 thousand.
“Powered by the M2 chip, the new iPad Pro brings incredible performance and cutting-edge technologies,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing. The new model is available in two screen sizes 11″ (2388 x 1668p) and 12.9″ (2732 x 2048p), compatible with the 2nd generation Apple Pencil and comes in Space Gray and Silver color options.
In addition to the chip currently used in the new MacBook Air, iPad Pro M2 also comes in 5G compatible versions (below 6GHz and mmWave). But all models have Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Here are the storage options and pricing for both sizes:

The new 11″ or 12.9″ iPad Pro M2 comes with a USB-C connector and 20W power adapter in the box, unlike the brand’s iPhones. they trust 8GB of RAM on models with up to 512GB of storage, but up to 16GB in 1TB or 2TB versions.
The M2 chip used in both models has an 8-core CPU (4 performance and 4 efficiency) and a 10-core GPU. For comparison, this is the same chip used in the new “biggest” MacBook Air.
As for performance, Apple claims the new M2 offers 100GB/s of combined memory bandwidth, or 50% more than the M1. It’s also 15% faster than its predecessor on the CPU, has 35% better graphics performance, and handles 15.8 trillion operations per second (40% gain).
Apple claims that with Apple Pencil, the new iPad Pro detects touches 12mm above the screen, providing greater accuracy. The tablet is also optimized to display full application features, comes with Stage Manager, four audio outputs and five microphones.
The rear cameras of the device have 12 MP (main, f/1.8) and 10 MP (ultra angle, f/2.4, 125º). On the front, there is a 12 MP TrueDepth camera (122º, f/2.4) that records videos in Full HD.
New color iPad
On the new 10th generation iPad, Apple four new colors (blue, pink, silver and yellow) and a design closer to the iPad Pro and iPad Air. It has the A14 Bionic chip (uses the previous A13) and 64GB or 256GB options. The tablet is also compatible with 5G, bringing Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The front camera of the new iPad has 12 MP (122º, f/2.4) and can make videos and calls in Full HD resolution over FaceTime. On the back, there is a camera that can shoot 4K at the same resolution (f / 1.8). It has two audio outputs and two microphones, features like Stage Center, and a new Magic Keyboard Folio.
Apple has yet to announce the availability of the iPad Pro M2 and 10th generation iPad for Brazil. Along with today’s announcement, Apple has also confirmed that iPadOS 16 will be available for download next Monday (the 24th). The macOS Ventura download will also be released on the same date.
