Although the Chinese brand prefers to look for TV hub devices, Xiaomi is also presenting its Xiaomi TV A2 series smart televisions at today’s launch event. It’s about a range of 4K displays in 32, 43, 50 and 55 inch sizes. They charge a suggested retail price of 250, 450, 500 and 550 euros respectively. Previously, the Book S 2-in-1 laptop and Smart Band 7 were also announced for the European market.
All of Xiaomi’s new televisions have a largely bezel-less design with only a small bezel at the bottom of the screen. The brand also promises a 178-degree viewing angle and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio. The Xiaomi TV A2 series uses an HD resolution.
As for the smart functions, Xiaomi equips the televisions with the Android TV operating system. This gives the user access to all the important apps and features available on most smart TVs. There is also Google Assistant which can be used to control any connected IoT device. On the other hand, most of the hub functions are packed in Xiaomi Mi Home. Users can remotely control connected iot devices through this Xiaomi app.
