The version marked in the settings of WhatsApp is 2.22.19.72 and the build is 22.19.0 (396347817) adds various news related to the communities. Now it’s possible add up to 10 groups when creating the community and up to 50 groups after that: these are called subgroups, and members of the subgroup can choose which subgroup to join based on their interests.

Community members can also receive messages from admins within a special read-only ad group where only they can post. Currently, your phone number is always visible to all other community members when they join a subgroup, but WhatsApp wants to allow people to hide their phone number to all other members in a future update.

While this beta has been marked as a compatible update, it doesn’t mean you can create communities right away, because WhatsApp starts a very small testthese are only available to some beta testers.

In addition, even if someone is added to a community, it will not be possible to use them because the feature is not available. In this situation, you will have to wait for a future update to enable the functionality for your WhatsApp account.
