The iPhone 15 series was revealed about two weeks ago and is already in the hands of thousands of consumers around the world. During this time, users are already reporting the first problems and errors with the devices.

With a pre-sale scheduled for tomorrow (27th) in Brazil and prices up to R$ 14 thousand, the new mobile phone series has already shown hardware and software flaws.

As with almost every newly launched device, like the iPhone 14, Apple’s launch was plagued with issues such as overheating and crashing.

Below, check out five problems iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro owners are reporting online.

Overheating

One of the first problems with the iPhone 15 was overheating. People who purchased the product and experts who tested it commented that simple tasks such as using social networks made the device very hot.

South Korean YouTuber BullsLab conducted tests with infrared cameras, showing that the smartphone reached temperatures of 116 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale, which is around 46 degrees on the Celsius scale.

Slow reload

One of the main changes in Apple’s newest devices was: Change in Lightning standard to USB-C. The Cupertino giant made the global decision at the request of European legislators.

However, the change meant that the handsets only got 5W charging speeds with Apple’s base charger. Early tests show that charging the iPhone 15 or 15 Pro in a USB-A port, for example, will charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 5 hours.

So anyone who wants to charge faster will need to purchase more powerful sources.

Locking

In a problem acknowledged by Apple, mobile phones are stuck on a screen with the company’s logo visible. According to users, this occurred during configuration.

Most reports indicate that the failure occurs when a person tries to transfer data from an old iPhone to the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro. It is at this point that the smartphone enters a boot loop with Apple.

To fix the problem, it is recommended to use recovery mode or update the iOS version before transferring data.

Fragile rear part

The launch of new products is always a time for durability testing. One of them, iPhone 15 Pro Max, caught our attention.

Content producer Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything folded the device with his hands without using any tools, and the glass back shattered into pieces.

“You’ve been watching me test the durability of smartphones for about 11 years, and most phones don’t break,” Nelson said in the video.

Bug or feature?

In one of the strangest problems reported so far, iPhone 15 Pro can easily change color. And that’s it. Users notice a change in the original color of the device when used without any protective case.

The “culprit” of the problem is the titanium structure found in mobile phones. According to a support document prepared by Apple itself, “oils from your skin may temporarily change the color of the outer band” of both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
