VTB launches special payment stickers starting October 9 that can be obtained at bank branches or ordered by courier. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

VTB launches its own payment stickers

Until the end of this month, you can get a sticker for free; Starting in November, the cost of issuing it will be 700 rubles. However, if you have the Privilege and Prime packages, the sticker issue will still be free.

The sticker uses NFC technology and allows you to pay with a single touch. The sticker that is attached to the smartphone does not contain a number or expiration date. It also does not contain any CVC code.

From a security point of view, the sticker has all the functions of a card: you can set a PIN code and transaction limits. If lost, it can be blocked like a normal card.

In addition to paying directly for purchases, the new service allows you to withdraw cash from NFC-compatible devices. All VTB card bonus programs are available with the sticker.

As Rostislav Yanykin, director of VTB’s transactional retail department, explained, the stickers will be useful, first of all, for iPhone owners who cannot pay through their Pay services. According to his estimates, by the end of the year about 300,000 people will be able to use the bank’s new solution.
