Intel introduced the Intel Arc A580, the newest GPU in the Alchemist series, this Wednesday (11). The component will be positioned for the company as an intermediate alternative for Full HD games at high settings.
The model is currently sold through partner manufacturers such as ASRock, Gunnir and Sparkle. According to Intel, the graphics card delivers 63% more performance in games when combined with XeSS technology in performance mode (in compatible games).
It contains: 24 Xe cores and drivers for real-time ray tracing rendering. The base frequency of the GPU is 1700 MHz, 8 GB memory with up to 512 GB/s bandwidth and a TDP of 185 W.
Although Arc A580 is an intermediate model, it offers superior performance compared to competing models. TechPowerUp tests show that it outperforms the Radeon RX 6600 and RTX 2060 when it comes to rendering graphics at 1440p, but is below the Nvidia RTX 2070 in overall performance.
According to Intel, the Arc A580 can deliver more than 73 frames per second on Remnant II with XeSS enabled. The graphics feature can also double performance in games like Ghostwire Tokyo, from 52fps to 108fps.
Entry model
Despite being launched, the Arc A580 is not a more powerful model and that’s not even what’s on offer. HE GPU price positions it as an entry-level alternativeaccessible for those looking for a solid experience, but without spending too much.
Price and availability
The new Intel Arc A580 will be sold abroad at prices starting from $179 (R$900 in direct conversion). In the United States, sales are carried out at well-known retailers such as Amazon and Newegg. Now The GPU is not expected to launch in other markets.
