Even next year’s iPhone 16 models will use a standard LTPS panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, according to Yang’s new data. It looks like Apple wants to make a clear distinction between the iPhone Pro and the regular models. Perhaps in the future standard smartphones will have ProMotion displays, currently Pro devices will have, for example, an under-display camera.
