Report AppleInsider mentions that the application Voice Notes – AI-powered transcription feature debuts. This feature will allow you to convert audio recordings to text with great accuracy. According to sources, AI transcription will not be exclusive to the iPhone, but will appear in iPadOS and macOS.
While speech-to-text tools are not new, the advent of artificial intelligence has increased their speed and accuracy. OpenAI has a neural network called Whisper., an automatic speech recognition system trained on 680,000 hours of multilingual data. While Google developed Chirp, Google Cloud’s core model for training speech using millions of hours of audio data and billions of text sentences.
Apple doesn’t want to be left behind in the AI race, so it will manage a lot of functions in its operating systems. Regarding the transcription, sources claim that Voice Memos come with a bubble-shaped floating button. which converts entries to text when clicked. This feature will be of great value to students, journalists and other professionals who frequently record voice memos.

Another feature of the development is related to reports generated by artificial intelligence. The leaks indicate a wide rollout that spans multiple Apple apps and services, including Notes, Safari or iMessage.
