Android 13 is about to introduce a new feature designed to work-life balance, when you use the same phone for both. In other words, the function is intended for those who do not have a company telephone, or at least a second device to only manage the work.

This is a change in the ‘Job Profileannounced a year ago. Setting up a work profile allows the user to separate the data, so as not to confuse personal data with work data. Each time an application is opened, a choice is made which profile to use. Let’s take YouTube for example: the user can have a history of the videos devoted to the work – for example, professional courses or classes of different nature – which are separated from the content seen outside working hours.

The same goes for the phone gallery: it will be possible to separate the photos and videos taken in your spare time from the content you need for your work.

Selecting one profile or the other also affects the Google checker, which will refrain from suggesting words and terms typical of the “working language” (very common in America) when you use the device in the personal mode.

Google is also working on new privacy features, such as a feature to encrypt data traffic when using corporate Wi-Fi.
