The new drug is based on two -channel camel antibodies with a special structure – smaller than man and penetrate the texture better. The press service said that scientists have overcome a camel and allocate 1P1B10 nanoantitis, which shows extraordinary efficiency in laboratory tests.
According to Dmitry Scheblakov, the head of the study, the drug successfully neutralizes all the strains tested, including the latest XBB and JN.1 options. In animal experiments, even minimal dose antibodies prevented infection with fatal doses of the virus.
Development is particularly important for the treatment of severe Covid-19 cases in patients with weakened immunity. Unlike existing drugs, the new antibody maintains the efficacy regardless of the mutations of the virus.
